Scripture Absorption and Life Transformation

Center for Scripture Absorption · Back to the Bible

For adults who consider themselves followers of Jesus.

A mirror for honest reflection—not a test of salvation or your worth.

For each statement, think about the past 30 days and choose how often it was true of you:

0Never
1Rarely
2Sometimes
3Often
4Almost always
UUnable to judge / no relevant situation
PPrefer not to answer

Use 0 when you did not act and can judge it; do not use U instead of 0. You may leave an answer blank.

26 questions in four short parts, then 4 questions about you. Designed for under 10 minutes.

Your privacy: We save your answers, but no name or login. At the end you can choose to give your email address for a 90-day reminder; it is kept in a separate, restricted table. Responses go to a secure database and are reviewed only by the Back to the Bible team, in aggregate, to understand how people are growing spiritually. We keep responses for 24 months and then delete them. To prevent spam, we also keep a short-lived, non-identifying record (not your IP address) for no more than one day. Please don’t include your name or any identifying details in the written boxes.

DRAFT WORDING (awaiting Arnie): the privacy notice above now mentions the optional email address.

A. During the past 30 days, how often was each statement true of you?

Some questions are unanswered (highlighted below). You may leave an answer blank. To go on, select Continue again.

B. Scripture in daily life — same past 30 days

C. Recent practices — four counts

Choose a whole number, U (cannot estimate), or P (prefer not to answer). Zero is a valid answer.

An intentional discipling contact is an interaction with a purpose of helping someone understand Scripture and/or take a personal step in following Jesus. Count an in-person, telephone, or live online conversation. Count a group meeting once only when you personally engaged someone in that way; do not count attendance, a broadcast, a social-media post, or a casual religious mention by itself.

D. The Holy Spirit’s work and leading — 90-day reflections

Two or three plain sentences per answer are enough. “I’m not sure yet,” “Nothing specific comes to mind,” and “Prefer not to answer” are acceptable. You may describe continuing work; a new breakthrough is not required. Do not name other people.

HS1 — Looking back

During the past 90 days, where have you noticed the Holy Spirit working in your life? Please describe a specific example, if you can.

0 / 1500
HS2 — Looking ahead

Where do you sense the Holy Spirit leading you to respond during the next 90 days?

0 / 1500

These reflections do not add or subtract points. Sharing answers is voluntary.

A few last questions to help us understand who’s taking this survey.

Your SALT Personal Profiles

Six descriptive profiles—not one spiritual grade.

A score of 75 is not “75% transformed.” It is the response average displayed on a 0–100 scale.

Each profile uses only the answers you gave as 0–4. U, P, and blank answers are not counted as zero. A profile needs at least 2 of its 3 answers; a 2/3 result is based on less information.

No score establishes salvation, divine causation, or a ministry’s effect. A mirror for honest reflection—not a test of salvation or your worth.

Take It Again in 90 Days

To take this again in 90 days and compare with today’s results, give us your email address.

Optional. We’ll use your email address only for this reminder unless you tick the box above. It is kept separately from your answers.

Thank you. Your email address is saved for the 90-day reminder.

This survey is designed to be completed about every 90 days. Print or save this page if you would like to keep a copy of today’s results.
